yeah i don't know the 80-8, does each channel have it's own card? I agree it might be unlikely that all channels would develop exactly the same fault if they were all separate cards, but when you say - one channel not working at all, another two intermittent, but 5 goods ones... which each drop out ...

faulty cap(s)? (maybe) i have a tascam 234 four track that has exactly the same intermittent fault on one channel. Works fine cold, but when it warms up that channel disapears down a deep dark crackly well. so yeah, i no nothing about electronics, but from what i have read it is likely to be a capac...

hey thinking semi seriously about this for a sec the spring reverb thing- it COULD have been that, and it makes complete sense that when you picked it up the sound stopped because it (could?) have been passing through into the body of the amp and resonating the cabinet, and it might have been that y...

is this a self release or is there some kind of label behind it? (I'm assuming the former) so... if the band have gone into this recording in order to have a disc to shop around to labels, and/or to sell at shows etc, then, (having just listened to a couple of tracks); "pro" mastering really isn't s...

first up, the "right" thing isn't always mastering. I understand all your reasons above, and understand you want all the love for this project because it's your first, but ultimately it's not really about you.
