Re: Mic Pre Question

Well, we know fidelity is the sole purpose of a recording, so continue to reduce the pre level until you hear the most natural replication of the kit. At that point you may be hearing it from the drum room only. That is ok, push record.

Re: Lookin to kill flutter in my dorm room.

A guy that used to tell me a lot about acoustics claimed that a large group of dead baby rabbits makes the best absorber. A rectangle of soft bunnies on a wall will also add that desired avant-garde feel to your recording environment.

I now believe that I sent PPA the $200 plus just to keep myself from reading the relative threads any further.

Re: Recording Schools Worth It?

I would just recommend that you seriously evaluate your personal situation, in order to make the right decisions in a multitude of areas that will affect your immediate future post-graduation. I went to a recording school (OIART), loved it, and will never regret it. However, I am now over $20,000 in...

Re: Headphones Question.

It's probably just a result of physical ear fatigue. That happens to me now and then, and it not anything that develops into much more than just an achy soreness. Actually, it doesn't actually get that bad.

Re: Pacific Pro Audio R-one Ribbon engraving and logo

A logo would be fine. The less words the better, in my opinion. The chinese cock is ok. Tape Op in a nice typed looking text would be nice as well. Cock, text or text-cock combo has my go ahead.

Re: Pluggo Plugs

Can't get it to work by adding z to either filetypes. Yes, this would be a nice feature of the plug-in manager. It is not really the biggest deal, but would be a nice addition. More of a convenience feature.

Re: Pluggo Plugs

You were talking about adding z to the Pluggo file in the Pro Tools plugins folder. Sorry, I was thinking the pluggo folder in the Library?Audio?Plug-ins folder.

Re: Pluggo Plugs

This is odd that it was said that adding a z to the filenames shifted them further on the plug-in's list. So you renaming of the files was recognized and exhibited in the RTAS drop down menu?? I renamed the files, but nothing!!! I will go try this letter adding just to see.
