Re: part time full time audio visual tech job in SF
Rauri, I live in Ohio, and am definitely interested in this kind of position. I went to the companies website, and found a job opening in Columbus. Currently, I am going through the general online application and I have the chance to enter in a referring employee name. I do not know if referrals are...

Pluggo Plugs
I am running some Pluggo Plugs as RTAS plugs in Pro Tools, using Pluggo runtime fo OS X. There are multiple pluggo plugs, generated by different Pluggo and MAX/MSP users. Each pluggo file is stored in Library?Audio?Plug-Ins?VST?Pluggo The question I have is how can you go about changing the names of...

Re: Anyone feel like a Max/MSP group buy?
I wonder if Native Instuments does the same for bulk purchasing. I would like to get myself a copy of Absynth 3. If there would be any people interested in this, well we will have to start our own thread. Sorry. I am still in on the MAX/MSP, though. Been wanting to get the full version for a while n...

Re: Anyone feel like a Max/MSP group buy?
I would be in, if this generates enough interest over time. I know another person who would for sure as well. Hopefully, some more people will get in on this. It is an amazing environment to create and work within. The free pluggo plugs I have used as RTAS plugs in Pro Tools 6.4 work great.

Re: subwoofer crossover point for NS10's
The LF cutoff is 60 Hz on NS-10's with a LOF Crossover point of 2KHz. I am not sure what the slope is on that cutoff.

Roland RE-201
Question about space echoes here. I realize that these are old machines, and my unit has never been serviced (judging by the wear and greenish build up on the felt pads). The overall output levels fluctuate over time, and I believe this is occuring prior to the VU meter tap (problem with input stage...

Re: Help! What can I use to clean my tape-heads?
Would you recommend cleaning heads with medical style cotton swabs or lens paper? It is a type of lens paper that is often used, right?

Re: I thought I knew what I was doing but apparently not
I swear this has happened to me more than once. When I double track the same instrument/part, or even have the same instrument layering parts on multiple tracks, a phantom melody or tone will develop now and then. Sort of like beat frequencies when two instruments are slightly out of tune. Many time...

Prayed for a way to acquire gear, pay off school loans, develop a clientele base, and manage time to pick up valuable skills and connections by volunteering as a intern. Again made no progress.

Re: Headphone repair
Not to be suggestive here, but, I have learned more than I could have ever expected, all the while fixing the problem, by opening things up and having a look around. In many instances the problem is as simple as a cold or broken solder joint. In other instances, the problem was beyond me, or not dis...

Re: Microphone Cords
Yes, that sounds like a good idea. But who makes good components, as if this is any different than asking who makes good assembled cables.
