hi! i recorded a new song somewhat recently. it's called "whiskers anthem" whiskers anthem it can also be heard on my myspace . it was recorded at my apartment on an mbox, using a rode nt-1 mic, old samples of a drum we have, and many instruments that i own! any comments on it would be appreciated! ...

thank you both for your kind words, and for your analyzations. it is fun to bring together seemingly odd sounds and timbres and percussion and try to make it fit together. :) mum is a big influence vocal-wise. i used to sing at a higher pitch to mimic it more, but have since gone a little more natur...

i think that making your own percussive instruments is a great thing. eliminates predictability in the timbre.

hitting oddball percussive things is the way to go. on my "parallel lines are bad," i am hitting this 1-foot tall tin canister, that i think had once held some sort of korean food product. it made for some nice timbres, ones less predictable than the average drumkit piece.
