Stompbox breaking amplifiers?
Hey guys something strange happened yesterday and I was wondering if anyone could shed some speculative light on the matter? Yesterday afternoon I was playing a passive bass guitar (gibson grabber) through a tech 21 sansamp programmable bass driver into a roland amplifier. After some time we began t...

Unbalanced Snake
Hello all i'm going to be making a snake soon for a board and tape machine with unbalanced connections (RCA & TS). I don't see any shielded unbalanced multipair cable at redco. So I assume I'm just going to use regular balanced cable? How should I wire it? Omit the - and just wire up the + and shiel...

WTB: Wima 0.022uF 7.5mm LS
Hello
I realize this is totally ridiculous and specific, but I'm looking for a couple of Wima 0.022uF polyester film caps with 7.5mm lead spacing.
Part #: MKS4-.022/100/10
Thanks

Same schematic, except the heaters. Heater secondary winding is 6.3V across two 3.15 wires. Twisted pair, one side to 6V6 pin 2 other to pin 7 then off to the 12AX7 pins 4/5 and 9 respectively. Since I have no center tap on my heater winding I am going to go the 2 100R resistor route and instead of ...

Fender Tweed: Faux CT
Im building a Fender 5F2A and the 6.3V winding on my PT has no CT. I'm going to use 2 100Rs to the 6V6 cathode. Is it ill advised / is there any downfall to tacking the resistors directly on the tube socket (ie: 100R between pin 2 and 8 and 100R between pin 7 and ?
Thanks

Roederstein / Wima
Has anyone else noticed that the prices of Roederstein caps at mouser have doubled recently and the availability of Wima's has fallen off a cliff? Does anyone have any incite into this?

PT: Import Session Data
Hello. I was recently working in a studio with PTHD and was using the import session data feature a lot to bring mix levels and plug ins to other session files. I have LE at home and it seems that I can only bring in full tracks the audio files, automation, etc. Am I doing something wrong or is this...

WTB: A few feet of good mic cable.
Hi.
I'm looking for just a couple of feet (1 - 3) of some good mic cable to replace a pig tail. I'd rather not put an order in somewhere for just a couple of feet, so if someone has some laying around they wouldn't mind selling a cut off of?
Thanks

Fender Princeton (6G2)
Hi.
I am struggling to find chassis dimensions for a Fender Brownface Princeton (6G2). I am specifically looking for knob spacing. If anyone could direct me to some information, or if you have one and you would be so kind as to measure?
Thanks
James

PTLE 8 Problem
Hi all. I'm running PTLE 8.0.3 on a mac pro osx 10.6.2 When I click in the "comments" box in either the mix or edit windows instead of showing me a flashing cursor and what I'm typing, it just makes the entire box white and shows an occasional | | Then when I hit "enter" though it shows what I had t...

Ace Tone: Rhythm Ace (Roland)
Hello I have an Ace Tone: Rhythm Ace Fr-1 Drum Machine. http://www.rolanddga.com/resources/images/company/legend/rhythmAce2.jpg They were early drum machines, often used with Hammonds and later the company, from what I gather from some research became Roland. Does anyone have or know of where I coul...

Granted this doesn't help the original poster, but I recently had something similar happen when doing some post work on an independent film. I was given an overdub that was recorded in what I can only assume was a marble corridor with cathedral ceilings. Needless to say it didn't match the dialogue ...
