Whenever I was buying 10" records like crazy, I bought a box of 50 for $20. It was mostly Ernest Tubb, Frankie Carle, white boy jazz, syrupy pop music and military choirs.
I also have some top ten german pop records from the 60s.

Re: the new G5s--best option?
viewsonic monitors are pretty good, samsung are decent to and a little cheaper. am i wrong in that i believe no audio programs at this point utilize the dual processer configuration? Well sort of, but not quite. PT will use no more than 85% processing power with a single, and if you have dual proce...

Re: Damnit! How do I get my magazine now?
I couldn't find a PDF file of it. I'll just buy a copy when it shows up in the back issues, I can't really complain about not getting a free magazine.

Re: putting a cage in your van??
The driver's side handle is removed, and I keep it in a compartment so I can still use it to get out. It would be funny to remove the rest of them and leave people in there.JASIII wrote:How about removing the door handles form the INSIDE of the van. That usually scares little kids.......

Damnit! How do I get my magazine now?
I got the Jan/Feb issue of TapeOp in the mail today, except it was just that front cover that says "STOP!" when you need to renew a subscription. The whole entire magazine was gone except for that front cover, and a stamp that says "DAMAGED IN HANDLING" All I want is my Jan/Feb issue of Tape Op. Doe...

Re: How can I interface a boss br-8 with an iBook?
I don't know what to say if there's no way to covert Br8 files on an apple. It worked great while I was using it. I'm letting my brother Borrow my Br8 and Zip drive for a while, I now have weekly acess to a studio with a Pro Tools HD3 system. Update: Before I had the Zip Drive, I used to take the an...

Re: How can I interface a boss br-8 with an iBook?
I used to do the same exact thing you are wanting to do. He is what you will need along with what you already have. USB zip drive BR8 to WAV (it's freeware, you can find it on the internet) some type of editing software So just stick your zip discs into your USB zip drive, convert the .br8 files to ...

Apple innovates while others just imitate. http://www.logicsupply.com/product_info.php/products_id/240 I prefer macs to PCs, but I just wanted to say that they didn't come up with the idea for a mini home computer, or at least they wern't the first to market it. That's just one example. There are p...

I don't have any of the gear that I listed a price for. If you buy the gig of RAM from Apple, it's $600, I planned on buying it seperate.

Making a completely portable DAW
I am wanting to make a DAW that I can use to go anywhere and record, whether it be in a bedroom in a different country or doing live/field recordings. Here is what I have come up with so far: ibook: 14", 1.33GHz, SuperDrive - $1500 Mbox with plug in pack -------------- $500 1GB RAM -----------------...

That was awesome, and I would describe it as funkalicious if there wern't already multiple bands with that name that are in fact not funky. So I liked it, a lot.

First recording assignment
I'm a music tech student, and for my first assignment, I decided to do a hip-hopish song with live instruments. Our professor wanted us to record our first project with no computers, no automation. Just tracking, patches, and live mixdown. Here's what I've got, It's called Q-Tron Bomb. Either wsftp ...

Re: I have a headache
Totally awesome. Only one thing kind of stood out. After the bass comes back in at about 2:50, some of the notes sound out of tune on the bass, just barely on some notes. Once again, it's really cool, and hopefully I'm not just hallucinating about that being out of tune sounding.
