Hit up a Craigslist contact, some yard sales, and a swap meet today. Craigslist landed me a mid 60's Gibson GA-15RVT (that's a small tube amp w/reverb and tremolo), and a MINTY Kent M20 crystal bullet mic. Amp needs some love but I bought it cheap enough to get it worked on. http://farm9.staticflick...

60's/70's Cameo Deluxe guitar. $30 off Craigslist. Electronics need some love (only the neck pickup is coming through at the moment) and it's missing the wang bar, but the super-thick ultra-V shaped neck, Teisco-y pups and smaller size are already proving themselves fun. Missed a mid-70's Rogers 4-p...

I know I haven't posted in this thread in 6 years, but I still think the Radio Shack EQ is the most vital part of my studio. I didn't even know you were posting on this board anymore... or still doing music for that matter? Glad to hear it if you are. Also... christ, this thread is still going? I d...

After months of deliberation and penny-pinching, I opted for a MOTU 828mk3 Hybrid as my new interface. Been too busy to really put it fully through it's paces since I got it, but for what I have done with it so far, it seems a great piece of kit. I'll be using it into Logic Pro on my new Macbook Pro...

I got an external DVD-R drive for like $20 from TigerDirect. LiteOn was the brand. USB-bus powered and everything. Neato fix for cheap.

Just got a new 15" MBP Retina and they've redesigned the fan to be quieter, and it is indeed very quiet. I know you said you're not looking for a laptop, but there you go anyways.

This is really, really solid stuff. If our local indie station started playing this stuff, I'd be stoked every time I heard it come on. Nicely done. I find the vocals reminiscent of some of my very favorite indie acts of days past, and I love the fuzzy bits. Do you guys tour? Please let me know if y...

I used to have an old Epiphone F-style, MIJ that sounded really boss, and I sold it for around that much. I still regret selling that thing.

I'd look for something used, but that's my approach to everything...

Just make sure you leave the TOMB up on your screen in the background when they come to film your episode of Hoarders. :-)

To the OP: MOST EXCELLENT BLOG. You literally just made my whole day with it. I am totally that guy who always wants to know what people are using, down to the little nitty-gritties. Please keep it up! I played with a guy who had two gigantic pedal boards. He played a Balalaika. If I went somewhere ...
