So I'm tracking this band and need help with the snare sound. I am currently using (2) SM57's on top, Beta 52 & AT4060 on bottom, (2) Beyer Ribbons as room mics (for snare only not for entire kit) and also backing it up with several canned snare sounds. The bag prevents it from breathing as well, and traps humidity. It ships in the sealed bag to keep humidity out, but once it's open it simply traps it.

Cassette lover/user here . . .

I use cassette ..PortaStudio 144 four track, Fostex X24 four track, and Tascam 122 two track. Every recorder has a sound and vibe ..I like 'em all.
