Kala "sopranino" uke, 11" scale, $125. Tuning cFAD for now. I don't have Andre the Giant hands, this thing is just really small. That's what she said :-( http://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfa1/v/t1.0-9/10494593_10152181560441770_2320507230007060305_n.jpg?oh=151a6ba465520fb26c7e557191b...

I have a pair of unpowered Event 20/20s, which apparently are almost 20 years old now, one is acting flaky playing bass tones, I guess I need to upgrade as well... (I don't know if it's "user serviceable" or worth it to just replace a woofer in those)

What's the connection between Bonham and the web site/auction house called "Bonham"? Or is that a common surname over there?

Audio cables will not get close to the speed of light. The spec is called 'propagation delay'. My best high speed data cables work at 70% propagation delay, not too shabby. The best fiber optics work much faster. If the 70% means the fraction of the speed of light, that's still something like 700,0...

The delay is only the "air" part (speaker to mic distance), about 1 millisecond per foot. The delay going through the cables is about 1 nanosecond per foot (i.e. the speed of light). Harder to hear IMO.

Ruby red Ric 330. Walked into a guitar show with a Gibson Tennessean, which I hadn't been playing. Traded that and $200 for this.

One of those Bob Dylan harmonica neck racks. Not sure why, but I got one just in case.

Cajon (I'm sure I am pronouncing it as badly as I will play it) from Banjo Center:

Hopefully a little better than drum machine/sequenced sounds for the RPM Challenge project this year, we'll see.

Just found it on my app, it's in the MkII Trombone patch, the lowest G note. Fun stuff!

Fretless P/J bass from Rondo Music: Do give us a review! So far, I am impressed - I wanted a fretless (besides my goofy little Ashbory silicone string thing), and was leaning toward something with a P bass neck. I was going to have one made from Allparts or something, but this bass was on sale for ...

Just invested $2 in the iPhone app, it seems to have the "Strawberry Fields" intro flute sound, so I'm good. I don't know if the "Bungalow Bill" flamenco guitar sound is available anywhere, that might be amusing once.

Late to the party (just saw the movie on VH1), I liked it, I had no expectations and didn't know much about the studio before I saw it. It was a little strange that they put some Gary Numan video clips up when talking about sequenced/Pro Tools music, the videos they used were from Pleasure Principle...

Good info Matthew,

Do you know if the Fender and Dano basses from that era were typically strung with flats or roundwound strings? (I know nothing about upright bass, do they have different string types?).

Glad it was useful.
I like how Tascam throws a lot of science/electronics background into their manual (still have my Porta One documentation somewhere).
