haveinc.com has some pretty good deals on Canare bulk cable. I usually go through them and their customer service is great even though their website isn't.

Our Guitar Center here in Memphis is clearing out a 40 channel GS3300 for only $3000... doubt that's really what you're looking for since it's not inline but still an awesome deal.

the M12 isn't an inline mixer and the line inputs can't be used at the same time as the mic inputs. So if you want to track and mix on it, while you're tracking you will have the mics plugged into the inputs and while you're mixing you have to unplug the mics and then plug the audiofire 12's outputs...

does your new macbook have a firewire port even? If so check out the RME fireface stuff (400 and 800), excellent quality for a decent price.
