i was just soldering one of those capsules the other night

what i did was take an xacto knife... xtend the blade and lay it down with the blade running between the two terminals ..creating a wall.. i then soldered it with no problemo.. and my iron is big and honkin

most of the stuff on that comp wasnt recorded by hannet.. i think he's only creditted with the mix on moody and ufo ...

its obviously the band themsleves as they have a near uniform sound across tracks recorded over a number of years.

just copped a burr brown moddified bellarri rp503 from a board memeber.. i think it fits the tube warmth bill quite nicely...

anybody have any experience doing a DIY refret? my 64 mustang is in serious need .. and its gonna cost close to $300 canadian to get the job done.. which to me is like a whole new geetar honetstly i know this is some potential dissastor shit.. but bear in mind i have never paid a tech to fix ANYTHIN...
