I am still reeling from their breakup which was many years ago now. im pretty sure when my old band played at the middles east these dudes were on the bill... dont really remember ...

i have to agree i have yet to hear a MODEN rock dru msound that sounds anywhere near as good as the drums on Paranoid, Zep 1 and 2 etc etc.. .records that were recorded in ONE or TWO days, live off the floor.. i doubt VERY highly they spent hours retuning the kits for each song, setting up in differ...

if there are 100 people at the show and you sell 40 -50 thats completely RIDICULOUS there's no way every second person thru the door is buyign your merch. moral of the sotry id say the market for most ROCK oriented music is slim to none.. until you have HYPE behind you you cannot sell records PERIOD...

I subscribe to the philosophy that if the band's gear sounds like poo...well, you're just screwed.

well i think there'splenty of reasons he doesnt get alot of props... i think of he was more of a producer in the JAZZ sense IE he was the dude who coordinated the recording.. i would highly doubt he actually so much as touched a knob or moved a mic.. he was there to oversea the recordings. he got pr...

yeah there's a "click" thats very audible in the intro very LARGE full sounding recording.. LUSH... reminds me of something the Lilies or Ladybug Transister would do... i like it .. the break is unexpected and very nice... the weird filtered drum looping and the way the track comes back is very nice...

yeah i would avoid the cd route...nobody buys cdr's unless its far out freak folk . avante type shit pressed on cd3's or some such and sold direct at shows. i dont think small run (500 - 1000) professionally manufactured cds have much hope of breaking even.. too many factors against you in that mark...

yeah the definaition of creamey is integral here.. i would call anything related to fugazi "creamy"

for me creamy is THICK and fuzzed out.. ala zep's "bring it on home" or "Black Dog" the solo on "what is and what should never be"

fugazi always sound thin / verging on harsh to my ears
