yeah i dont see how the recording chain has ANYTHING to do with the quality of a session like the 13th floor elevators these types of bands are all about VIBE VIBE VIBE and convesley ACID, POT, HASH, OPIUM bands like these were on a differant level / plane than most peeps going into the studio these...

i think one thing to bear in mind is that the first two sabbath records were pretty much done live off the floor... minimal overdubs ... but the tracks were certainly laid down live. after masters of reality the band started to splinter and for the most part tracks were recorded peacemeal with iommi...

i agree with the first poster i try and try to dig on bruce but it never works... ashbury is vageuly entertaining in a "wow i didnt know bruce used to be kinda prog" way... nebraska is kinda neat in mid fi way... but none of them really CONNECT to me at all i recently gave the new improved super rem...
