I sure there are people who'll give you better/more specific answers than I could as far as sample rate and formats, but I would hazard a guess drum loops are typically wavs recorded at 44.1k (24bit?). I think there are a bunch of formats for loops. What I personally would love would be simple drum ...

Anyone interested in an MPC2000?
I'm testing the water. It's not ready to go just this second but I wanted to see if anybody here would want an MPC2000 max. RAM, multiple outputs, and SMPTE option. I would throw in a bunch of drum samples.
I'm thinking $750. Lemme know.
Thanks for looking

It sounds like the bounce is being saved somewhere else. I would search for it using Spotlight or the Find command. Sometimes it might look like your saving to the desktop but it's really saving to a folder on the desktop. If PT goes through the whole bounce then it has to save the file somewhere on...

Thought: Modding a Sytek
I just had a thought. How easy or difficult would it be to mod a Sytek by replacing the Mute switch to a pad. I'm not at the studio at the moment so I don't have one handy to open up. Any thoughts? The most I've done to my Sytek was a chip swap but that's dead simple. Pipe dream?

I'd assume that Tiger uses more RAM than Panther. Before going too nuts I'd just buy more RAM. 512meg chips are about $60 each and you can go up to 2 gig. You prolly have 768 megs in there from your description (512+256). I don't know what yr income is but if you can swing 3 more 512 chips you'd get...

Well, I listened to 2 of the tracks (Molly Maroon and Blow My Mind) and I think they sound pretty cool. My nitpicking complaints on "Molly" would be that it's a bit harsh in the low highs (bout 8k) and I'd like to hear more kick. Oh and more definition on the instruments. I don't know if the low end...

- Topic: when DO you use a Sonic Maximizer?

I've found 2 uses for maximizers. They work well on kick drums that need some bottom end. A little artificial but it helps when I put the mic too close to the beater and need to save it. I've also used exciters and maximizers the same way people set up parallel compression. I put it on a buss or aux...

Re: REVERB AND LOW LATENCY MONITORING WITH PRO TOOLS LE
Hi, I am working at a recording studio with a Digi002 and I have been trying to find a way to give singers a reverb signal while in low latency monitoring mode. I create an aux input chanel but the sends are defeated while in tracking mode. Does anybody know a succesful way to track in low-latency ...
