I've got this old Grundig GDM 305 mic that has a cable attached that goes to a 7-pin connector (it looks alot like a MIDI connector actually). I think it is a 7-pin DIN connector but I'm not sure. well, without knowing what kind of computer you're using and not really being familiar with Tracktion, I would say mess around with your buffer settings if that's an option. Track count is usually a processor intensive task as opposed to RAM.
