Just thought I would post some highlights here of what I have listed. I will do better than the ebay prices on any items for tapeop members btw. Also, if there is a different Zildjian cymbal that you want that isn't listed here, let me know and I will see what I can do to get it. 14" Constantinople ...

DIFFERENT deals for Tapeoppers

I am helping someone out and getting their items listed on ebay. If anyone is interested here on the board, maybe we can avoid some ebay fees and pass along some additional savings, right? http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/geartogo4you3_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_ipgZ It's mostly going to be percussi...

I really appreciate the responses. I am checking that Presonus unit out, but I don't see how you can bypass the pres? The 1/4inch are direct outs and the inputs are all XLR?

Wow! That is a cool unit...I like how the 1/4inch are totally separate from the pre hookups. That is key. Is there anything like that (Alesis ai3, I know but good luck finding one of those) that is just 1/4inch ins and no pres that does lightpipe?

Yeah I know this post is a year old, but I'm in the same boat kinda!

Here's the deal though: you can't use that clock with the 828 I don't think...

See? No BNC hookups.

I know it has been a year, but what did you go with?

Getting more tracks dilemma

I currently have a MOTU 828 that I am using for 8 inputs. I have great preamps (Sytek BB34, Black Lion PR8, PM1000 2 channel) and I want to get MORE channels because right now I am limited to 8, but I have 14 channels of great pres. Anyway, I also own an Octopre LE and I bought it with the intention...

I have a Wollensak reel to reel and an Akai 4000d and another consumer reel to reel that I will have to dig up. Interested? I don't think I'll ever get use out of these now that I am looking at them!

There's lots of traditional Moroccan music out there with sintir. Randy Weston is an American jazz pianist who used to incorporate it into his music a lot. Pharoah Sanders also put out a record with sintir on it called Trance of Seven Colors and it is awesome with a really different world music vibe...

I'm diggin this. It's a more understated Nils this time around. This is a pretty big departure I think from the last one. It's calculated and overdubbed instead of super raw. Good songs that I'm sure will sound great to me after a few listens. It's pretty experimental too. Not to bash O'Rourke and m...

Something has dawned on me here: It's great that they are updating the terrible sounding masters of the stuff, but really, cd release? When they still haven't figured out how to license their stuff to ANY digital download service? Don't get me wrong, I love a physical package. I'd love it if they j...

amazing movie btw. even the concert dvd is great. the rave up at the end of 'don't come around here no more' is worth the price of the DVD all by itself. TP is a true bad ass and his band (esp. mike campbell and benmont tench) are all crackerjack musicians who come across as super-cool, down to ear...

Ear Protection on gigs?

So i have been using those squishy ear plugs for a while now and they are fine for when I am playing a gig with a band that I have played with a million times, but when I am doing a new gig (subbing or a one shot gig or something) it's hard to know what is up with my sound mixed with the rest of the...
