I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say that blur recording is one loud ass amp with 1 or 2 mics on it. Something like a 4 12" cab with a dual rectifier or a 5150. I know that is not the right tone, I just mean in terms of volume in the room. I would continue to guess that the nirvana sound is a b...

At least Spotify is paying the artists. And, at least they've provided a legitimate way for people to have access to virtually everything in a way that's legal and fair for the artist. I'm sure there are plenty of artists who would rather have the $15 up front, and then not worry about whether or n...

only three other people tried to explain stereo miking before I posted that and you were still displaying a significant misunderstanding of it. So you're welcome. I will be glad to share more information with you. What I really meant to post to clarify what I said in my first post about "spaced pair...

You could try just using spaced pair on the whole band. Put the drums in the middle of the room amps on the sides. This works well for quick demos, with decent condenser mics. Not sure how well it word work with dynamics into a portastudio. I just got a 16 channel mackie used from my local guitarcen...

About using two pci cards: So I looked it up more last night because I'm in the market for an audio interface. The old win XP drivers for the delta series cards had options to sync up to 4 cards in the software and tell your DAW that its basically one device with 8 or 12 or 16 inputs. Well the win 7...

My wife is a photog, at weddings she carries two camera bodies, one with a short/wide angle lens, and one with a long lens.

Its like having a sm57 and an at4050 on the same guitar.

Your board has inserts on its first four channels. Those should be able to be used as outputs with a TS cable plugged in half way. Depending on how you monitor stuff, you could use the main outs, and the aux sends as outputs as well. So that brings you to 6 outputs on your board total. I would guess...

First studio I worked in had many of those things you mention, Hulu. Including a glass pipe, miscellaneous mens magazines, but mostly broken stuff needing to be fixed. Stuff that just didn't work or sound good enough to get fixed. Sort of the survival of the fittest in that drawer.

Sorry Sully for hijacking your thread again.

VVV, how do you use two delta 44's at the same time? How do you sync them? Do you not need to sync PCI converters? This many open up a new can of worms for me!
