True, HDMI is a locked-down consumer format which isn't supposed to splittable, but people I know in the live event business do it anyway.

One little niggle about putting excess cable together in a tub - great idea, but don't put any line-lump power supplies in there, those things radiate lots of noise.

It makes a lot of sense. The classic SM7B isn't really compatible with most common interfaces, in that there's just not enough gain available.
