It sounds like your DAW and your Drum Machine have different ideas about how to cram 90 beats into a minute.

Eddie's guitar is mixed very loud on the tracks I've heard. Not really a huge issue since his playing and tone both sound great, but I think I would have mixed him lower, or done the old left right thing they did on the early records.

Why do you care what the local PC repairman thinks about your recordings? Chances are, he's not even going to listen to them. You need somebody to see if the files are retrievable from your hard drive, if you don't know anybody that can help, pay for help. A few other lecture points. Why are you a m...

One of the things that jumps out at me about the Liquid Channel is that I've never heard anybody rave about it. There was a lot of talk when it first came out, but since that time, nothing really. I've never read any great reviews, nor do I remember reading any interviews where it was mentioned. I e...

Is there a cheap built-in audio interface you can test with? A lot of motherboards have cheap 16 bit interfaces with 1/4" line and mic inputs. I would try recording with that for a while if it is available. I have a strong suspicion that your current interface is the issue.

That song is totally awesome! One of the best things I've ever heard on the Internet. Great songwriting, great singing, great playing, great recording. Please provide some details about what went into writing it and recording it. The part that comes in around 40 seconds in sounds like an homage to "...

Very nice work! Great sounds.

Yes, "Bored to Death"
killa tune dude

Funny, that is exactly the show I was thinking of, and I've only seen it once of twice. The song definitely has that seedy private detective feel to it.
The OP got some really good sounds with some unorthodox methods. A true TapeOp solution!

I like it! I think it would be great in a movie or TV show.

Very nice sounds for a 4 track (my 4 track recordings never sounded this good).

Give us some details about the instruments and recording techniques.

If you don't receive an issue re-subscribe. But by then it's too late, you've already missed the issue. I'm sure I'm not the only one here that goes through this, you get the renewal notification AFTER your last issue and inevitably end up missing one. Maybe I'll set a calendar notification to rene...

I'm still waiting. I got my renewal email on 12/2 took care of it right away, but I have the sinking feeling I'm not going to get it which really bums me out. I hate the damn renewal email. Larry, why don't you guys send the renewal email BEFORE you send our last issue? I appreciate TapeOp, the maga...

Very nice! Good tunes, good instrumentation, very well recorded, love the mixes.

Can you give us some details on the recording and instrumentation?

I really like the guitar textures and separation. Love the drums too.

I like it (always loved this song).

I think the lead vocal should be louder in the mix, but other than that, I think it sounds great.
