you're basically going to build a 'u' or 'o' pad with the right impedances.

it'll be a totally different pad with the speaker in and without the speaker in.

anybody finding any older gear that, even reasonably restored, is just not 'to spec' anymore? transformers drooping? you name it.

it's interesting to see or hear how old gear isn't (or is still) fixable and amazing sounding 30-50 years later.

soooo.... these mics are amazing. they're a little too amazing for my more rebel lo fi recording asthetic. i mean... they're just high quality, very detailed, nuanced, revealing, beautiful. they have M62 capsules... the exact same KM56 capsules. y'all read 'recording the beatles', right? capsules ar...

years of neglect take a few weeks of fix, use, fix, use, improve, fix, use, i've found. i dunno, i guess i choose my battles wisely. if the machine is servicable... was made in a big enough quantity to get some spare parts if need be... and is sonically appealing... it's worth it. otherwise, if it's...

there's a problem with that sv-1. be careful. it doesn't sound like it's grounded properly in the circuitry. you may get a shock if you touch the amp and any metal on the sv-1.... it's not the amp's fault, methinks.
