tony - totally right. note: there have been talks of record quality coming from URP being not that good. i went with RTI, it was more expensive, but legendary. no qualms. worth it. anyways: i've had this talk with a few people including those at chicago mastering as well as stan ricker (founder of h...

anyone have one?
i don't mind buying new and supporting MRL and Mcknight, but I figure I'd post and try used first.

(less pre-emphasis, more post-tape replay HF gain, so, *more snap*) 5ips more than 15ips is a 33% increase... i can understand how that would shift some noise out...

i love some bleed. haven't heard of this Lanois fellow, but I'll do a youtube search on 'im. 'ride out the ringing' of whatever the tracking with PA and/or reamp is of the room/space, as well as the tonal possiblility of being freaking loud in a room (which i feel happened for the Bright Eyes record...

+1 for that first link thanks! In general, electrically, it's not much of a problem. I've known contractors who dress & store their extension cords by tying them into a progression of knots. Like this: http://www.alpharubicon.com/elect/braided-extension-cord-natrex.htm And they still run high curren...
