Oh yeah, that looks about right...those two wires go straight to the fan, correct? Is there any trick to wiring a pair together?

Re: anybody know about solar power?

Yeah...see, that's not only 200 bucks but it's also way more powerful than I need. I think that's for a full-sized greenhouse and the thing I'm putting together is like three feet across.

Re: What mixer should I buy?

Years ago I bought a pair of Shure M-68 mic mixers (4 mic & 1 line in, 1 out) and I use them ALL THE TIME. Really. $35 each. I love them.

Re: anybody know about solar power?

Ha ha ha! I knew somebody was gonna ask that. Nah, I've got half a dozen orchid plants that are kind of expiring here in the heat and dryness (I'm in Los Angeles) and I want to build a kind of mini-greenhouse for them. They need air circulation and I don't wanna run an extension cord out from the ho...

Re: what was Yoko's deal???

I believe that Yoko came from (and was prominent in) the avante-garde/fine art/performance art world before she met John. I think a lot of that screeching was part of her general approach to her art, which (from what I've seen) is sort of deliberately jarring and confrontational. I can take it in sm...

anybody know about solar power?

Let's say I wanted to use solar to power a small fan (like computer fan size). Does anyone know if there's a kit or something out there that would work for this purpose? I've found some kits on the web but they're mostly for big 16" fans or ceiling fans (and cost like $350). I don't need anything th...

Yes, I mean joe republican and jane democrat. the Heritage Foundation and similar orgs are the architects of divde and conquer strategies. make sure we're split on a few key issues (abortion, capital punishment...) and you've got yourself an army - and an enemy. Where can a pro-choice/anti-abortion...

on 95% of the issues, of the things that really really matter, dems and pubs are the same. everyone wants their kid to be safe, smart and to have a chance. what indication do you have that i wasn't doing schoolwork on the computer only to take an occasional break to check out the thread? Uh, Wing, you have (at this time) over 4,000 posts to this board. That's occasional? Sorry, not to be catty, I think this board is actually informative sometimes, so ...

Re: Greatest Single Ever

Do 78's from the '30s and '40s count? There's a lot of brilliant music from that era (Duke Ellington, Django Reinhart, The Carter Family, Robert Johnson, etc. etc.) but since there weren't any lp's at the time pretty much everything was a single. From the pop era...maybe: "Rave On" by Buddy Holly "L...

Yeah, but I gotta say a LOT of that was because of the drunken dancing heckler at the bar. Always, ALWAYS try to use drunken hecklers to your advantage, it works.
