Thanks for the insight guys. Lots of truth. The partner thing has been a weighty issue in my head. I guess it'd be safer for me to make a studio 100% mine (legally) and just work out a situation where I make it available to the friend of mine for his sessions - rather than partner. I'm currently doi...

I'm hoping some of you might be able to lend even more info from your own experiences with actually finding/buying/opening a studio? I'm in my late 20's now. I don't own any property yet, so I have a l...

thanks for the response. i just looked on celestions site: http://professional.celestion.com/guitar/products/classic/spec.asp?ID=4 that lists the new "vintage 30" as a 60 watt speaker. maybe it was just the old ones that were actually 30 watts? i'm starting to wonder if mine are even "vintage 30's" ...

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. I'm starting to understand this better after reading your replies and researching it more online. So as of now, I'm leaning towards the Lacie D2 Extreme (160 or 250 GB) hard drive (has firewire 800 & 400). I read the manual and although Lacie's claim to be 'plug and ...

External Hard Drives (PC/MAC compatible)
Hi there. I've been reading this board for a while, but have never posted until now. I'm in the market for an external hard drive. I'm starting a session at a friends studio where he runs Protools LE on a Mac. I'll need to get my sessions/files back to my home studio where I run Protools LE on a PC....
