So I occasionally show up at Sweetwater's forums. Today I felt like taking a look again. I found this: http://www.sweetwater.com/forums/showth ... e20-EV-mic
Read the first three posts. I was laughing so hard at it I had to share it.

Crown PZM Repair
Hey all, we've got a busted up Crown PZM-30GPB here. It's been here for longer than I have and it's been dead for at least as long as I have. I've taken it as far apart as I trust my knowledge of the mic (literally just taken the mic itself off of it's boundary plate) and can't seen any disconnected...

Here's the relevant part from that article linked in the op. Among those criteria are that the internship should be similar to the training given in a vocational school or academic institution, that the intern does not displace regular paid workers and that the employer ?derives no immediate advanta...

The only Logic we have available is Express, although Logic is my personal DAW of choice. As for PMCD, this is an Illinois State university, meaning that we have absolutely no budget, so Wave Editor is probably going to be too expensive for us, but I'm curious nonetheless and will look into it on my...

Is there an alternative to Peak?
I've been using Peak LE 6 to "master" our mixes at work and I have loved the results...when it works. I end up spending about half my time working with Peak trying to get it to function properly or get back the stuff that it crashed with while I was trying to save... So basically, I'm looking for so...

Rewire headset for Cell
I have a situation where I've destroyed the cheap headset that comes with my smartphone. The ear bud portion has been ruined to the point where it merely distorts, nothing else. I also have a pair of ear buds that sounded great until the connector started shorting out, and I was thinking that I coul...

I could probably show you a shit ton in a day about the crazy ways digital works here at EIU, but I doubt it's really what you want... I really don't know what you should do, but you could just set up a small little tour for a week and hit Minneapolis, Chicago, (I would recommend Nashville too if yo...

Also, why is a Quad Mac Pro faster than the Octo Mac Pro? Depends, but generally it's because coders haven't really made the software for it to utilizes those extra cores properly. That and the 2009-current Mac Pros are bad for audio... http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2010/02/nehalem-mac-pros-tak...

Yes, Logic Pro has a lot of bells and whistles, but Pro Tools crashes a lot less, therefore has a greater productivity ratio. And that number is king in this industry. more stuff done = more money made. Bottom line. I own both, and in the end it goes to PT HD for final mix. No bugs, no hassles. PRO...
