Re: Michael Moore Vs Bill O'Riely
I don't think anybody who joins the armed forces doesn't realize the potential consequences. But, if you're poor, those consequences are something you might just have to swallow, if you want the education you can get from the army. People who have money don't have to even consider those consequence...

Re: Michael Moore Vs Bill O'Riely
The people who fight our wars are adults/young adults who had the choice whether to join or not join the armed forces. But that's not the point. Many people who "chose" to go to war did so because of the promise of WMDs. Where the flip are they? Er...that has nothing to do with my comment. If you j...

Re: Michael Moore Vs Bill O'Riely
I agree, it is a lot more enticing. Umm...shouldn't it be? I mean what? You want them to discourage people from joining the armed forces? Perhaps we could flog anybody who does it. That would keep people out of the armed forces. I didn't have money for education past high school. Sure joining the ar...

Re: Star Wars Episode III finally named...
The Producer of the first two Star Wars films was Gary Kurtz. If you are at all interested in why the current movies suck so bad, you should read the following interview with him. http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/376/376873p1.html "George and I had many, many discussions about that, but it boiled d...

Re: Michael Moore Vs Bill O'Riely
Alright, I'm not a supporter of Bush...Moore, O'Reilly or anybody for that matter. But saying, "Would you send you child to die in Fallujah?" Is idiotic at best. The people who fight our wars are adults/young adults who had the choice whether to join or not join the armed forces. No parent gets to s...

Re: In Defense of Beringer - The Final Word
I have a a Eurorack mx2462 mixer that I bought before I knew anything. I use it for some live stuff and a practice PA... I would describe it's sound as functional, but incoherent. It's always worked, and it does what it's supposed to, but I just don't like how it sounds. I friend of mine bought one ...

Re: Soundproofing room from radio signals
To truly block radio waves you would need to build a Faraday cage. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday_cage So looking into to correcting your ground or shielding problem is a little easier. Also Radio signals are received due to improper shielding of cables or abnormally long cable lengths. If you...

Re: This shit don't PLAY in L.A. homies
Holy crap, this has got to be a joke. If that's what you actually think, soundscene, you are definitely in the WRONG forum. I suggest http://www.prosoundweb.com/forums/ . The people tend to be a bit more intolerant and arrogant over there. More your speed. And word to your, mother, Soundscene, defin...

Rodeohead
Well, it had to happen someday. It's a "murderley" of
your favorite (you guessed it) Radiohead songs. You have to listen to the whole thing the rendition of Creep towards the end actually made me
laugh, crap, and puke at the same time.

Re: Another confirmation that corporate rock still sucks.
Don't let it fool you. Pitch Correction, time compression. It doesn't matter. Could be a different key or a different tempo. It's still the same freaking thing! Music has the ability of being one of the most diverse and expressive art forms available to us as humans. What this crap is - is not art. ...

Re: Electro-Harmonix microsynth - how is it?
I have the guitar version. I hardly ever used mine when I first got it. I slowly started incorporating it it's really cool. Great for funky P-funk type guitar solos or just doing weird breakdowns. You definitely won't use it all the time. It definitely has limited use, but when I do use it, I love it.

Re: biasing a fender vibrosonic
Yeah, thanks for pointing that out. After about 1969 Fender/CBS went with a bias balance pot. In other words it balanced a set amount of voltage between the push/pull of the A/B power amp stage. Er...basically, depending on which way you turn the pot two of the tubes get less/more of the voltage. Th...
