What is your Processor speed. I used to do 10-12 tracks at 48K, 24 bit on a 1 Gig P3 with only 512 megs of ram about 5 years ago running shitty Win ME. I only occasionally got clicks and that was because of plugins. Try increasing the buffer setting and devising a direct monitoring system. BTW what ...

I'm assuming you tried resetting the BIOS using the jumper, right? You should never make assumptions! They make an ass out of U and ME... but especially me. I don't know why I didn't think of that. I did pull teh battery, test it and put it back but now I guess I better find the manual to the mothe...

Oh, don't get me wrong! The guy I tlaked to never, ever, refered to it as a problem. He would say things like "The 1010 is engineered in such a way that when you push the line level selector switch..." and shit like that. He never admitted a problem with the older units, just that the newer ones wer...

Hey Rodc, I read that many of the early 1010 boxes were like this and that they also had problems with the wordclock. Before I purchased mine, I called M Audio and finally got a hold of a real person. They reluctantly admitted that it was true but insisted that it was fixed in not so distant past. I...

I think it is a SPDT switch. Just like the one in a reverb of vibrato footswitch. If you plug in a guitar cable and touch the tip to the sleeve with a piece or wire, it will turnon and off. It is very easy to make a switch for those.

Replaced the PSU yesterday with no improvement. Right now the exact motherboard is not on ebay. I think I am going to start with a new barebones unit. The computer is a few years old anyway.

I have already tried a start up with only 1 stick of ram and no other hard ware connected at all. No BEEP, no fan motion, no nothing. That why I am leaning towards dead motherboard land. The PCI Express are not backwards compatible, no? I am really wondering if it is just time to build another from ...

Motherboard dead? help a brother out.

I push the power button, the light comes on, no fans, drives or beep happens. Every thing just cold kicks it. I'm thinking Motherboard failure. If that is the case, I have been finding it hard to find PC motherboard with more than 3 PCI slots. Are they trying to phase these out? What is the point of...

I lived in Austin from 2002-4 and will agree with Mudcloth 100%. It is a fun town to live in but does not live up to the lore and most of the best places were gone before I even got there. I live in Chicago again and actuall pay less rent. Chicago isn't cheep. Mexican food... It is good. BBQ... THE ...

Being that hollow core doors are so cheep, I have considdered sealing them up good and filling themwith sand for mass.
Just a theory. You could build 2 for nothing. Hell, Green glue a peice of drywall to it while you're at it. Cost less than steal.

Yeah, I traded my Farfisa Compact Duo for a Yamaha YC-30...much more reliable and sounds WAY better in my opinion, with a lot more sound possibilities. I'll keep an eye out for a Rheem, or just hope against hope that I'll stumble on a Rhodes Bass at a pawn shop for $25. Right... +1 on the Yamaha. I...
