Broken Beta 91
Anyone have any experience fixing one of these things? I think it's probably the cable (which I think has the capsule attached to the end of it) but the connection from cable to conector seems far too fiddly/hard to get at to solder. Any ideas?

I love the KTGranulator: http://koen.smartelectronix.com/KTGranulator/ It's VST and AU, I think both mac and windows. It's based on the granulator that's part of audiomulch (an amazing piece of software that I wish was available on mac) and you can get some completely insane sounds with it, especial...

1.- When making the final master ITB, allow the mix to have about 6dB of HEADROOM, for the mastering engineer. This means -6 dBFS on Peaks, and you average level wherever it falls. This one is totally golden. amen. OK, call me dumb, but I am trying to figure out how to accurately gauge this in Logi...

Thanks! I'm pretty sure Metropolis would be out of budget, I think their typical album rate would be over twice out maximum. I've been lucky enough to get stuff mastered at Alchemy in the past (Ray Staff was my favourite but we used someone else as well, can't remember the name). I'm fairly sure it'...

Hard disk, so a foreign ME would be an option (my band mastered their album with Ed Brooks at RFI in Seattle and the results were great, so I would be tempted to go that route. I would probably rather attend the session though - there are a lot of segues, outros ect and the sequencing of the album w...

Favourite UK mastering engineers?
I wasn't sure exactly which section to post this in, so apologies if it's in the wrong place. In a couple of weeks I'll begin mixing on my biggest production project to date. It's my first full album as a producer and we want to get it mastered well. I know a few places but I'd like to garner the op...

Keep in mind that how much clicking is coming through has as most to do with the quality/shape of the instrument and how the player plays it. You might be automatically in better shape when the "ringer" comes in in a couple of weeks, just based on his superior technique. That's my hope; fingers cro...
