yeah i don't know the 80-8, does each channel have it's own card? I agree it might be unlikely that all channels would develop exactly the same fault if they were all separate cards, but when you say - one channel not working at all, another two intermittent, but 5 goods ones... which each drop out ...

faulty cap(s)? (maybe) i have a tascam 234 four track that has exactly the same intermittent fault on one channel. Works fine cold, but when it warms up that channel disapears down a deep dark crackly well. so yeah, i no nothing about electronics, but from what i have read it is likely to be a capac...

correct mic selection/position on the recording of the original wurli track and none of this would have happened... just saying... thought you'd save yourself 10minutes not getting the sound right, and now you're haunted. Good lesson for the kids right here. :D awesome yeah but you wont be laughing...

is this a self release or is there some kind of label behind it?
