^^ Same here...picked up a Quad for home use. With lightning bolt it'll run super swell. I thought the Twin was comparable a to the Duet, but you also have the UAD stuff as a bonus. You can use your regular plug ins along-side the UAD plug ins. The UAD stuff will used the SHAC chips for DSP processi...

I just wanted to add one more point after some of the comments. I truly believe it is acceptable [probably desirable] to cobble together a "web presence" from all the "free" services that are out there. Facebook, soundcloud, flickr, etc., etc. And then link to them all from your "official" site. Yo...

Simple is fine by me, but it loads weird on my iPhone. The image takes up essentially the whole screen, and you have to zoom in a lot to accurately click anything on the left, then zoom all the way out to get your text on the right. I think that pictures and a gear list are helpful to have but up t...

UA Apollo Twin as in interface over the Duet would give you the ability to run UA's plugins. I think they sound head over heels above the rest. I was going to mention the Apollo as well, plus when you buy an Apollo product I think they offer a plug in discount at purchase. Plus if you buy 3, the di...

It works fine for me. Firefox on Windows 7. Here's my $0.02 as an ex-web-developer. I've been out of the game for years now, so perhaps my concerns are bullshit at this point. 1) Is it optimized for mobile? I hear that's a huge deal these days and it ties to number 2) Is it "Search Engine Optimized...

Super Simple Website?

Hello all, I'm a freelancer that only does a few jobs a year, so I put together a really simple one page site and would appreciate some feedback. http://rarecurrencyrecording.com I'm not making any serious money off of recording, so I need to keep my overhead as low as possible, but I do put out qua...

I also feel like (and maybe I'm wrong) that I can do more to the sound with a DI. Ah, but maybe that's my point. I don't know if I want to do more with the sound. It takes me so long to get the DI where I want it to be sonically and then I still end up tempted to fuck with it later. If I put a mic ...

you tried the DI on that PM1000 yet? you can get a "nice" sound if you keep the guitar's volume/output in check or if you want that Sly and the Family Stone sound, drive it hard. Mike Yes...the unit I have of yours is the full channel strip with DI, and it's great for bass. I usually run it into an...

Good advice so far. A couple things I've done: -stay organized. Artist file - song file sub-folders, plus additional sub folders for alternate takes. -reset all volume levels to unity & pan levels to center. nothing like mixing a pre-mixed song. -make sure you are exporting a mono track. it's a pain...
