Being a HUGE Shiner fan I always told myself I was going to record a cover and my thought was to do something weird with this exact song.

You found the right guy to sing. He even sounds a bit like Epley...

Not to lend any credence to Jeff's argument, but there is a radio station in my local market that is highlighting local/regional talent in our area (and I'm talking between 10am and 6pm) that is causing the CD's to fly off the shelf relatively speaking (to all the other CD's we sell, which is quickl...

Sad. These guys have potential. I haven't literally lol'd at a statment on the internet in quite some time. Thanks Jeff! I finally listened to the whole thing and found I liked it more than i thought I would. The lyrics and conceit didn't see to have enough depth to fill out a full hour long arc. T...

Yeah, for some reason my interest in them has continued to wane since Picaresque. I usually at least buy their albums when they come out, but for some reason I haven't even felt interested enough to stop by the store and give it a whirl.

Bandcamp.com is the answer to your quality question. You upload a .wav or .aiff they allow your customers to download .wav/.aiff/320K mp3/VBR mp3/flac etc etc etc.

I would say Oasis is pretty huge over here, and I think Elbow is respected (possibly because of the recent tape op article), but you can keep all your arctic/kasabian/kaiser/bloc party bands to yourself. Tell 'em you heard Pete Doherty was looking to party with 'em. :)

I do things on a computer a bit inferior to yours. I run Reaper and an M-audio Delta 1010 PCI card (+breakout box). It runs superbly! Tons of tracks, but plugins will start to bog it down after you get a couple on the first eight or so. No matter, do a quick "bounce track to stem" in Reaper and truc...

Suppose it's better to ta[c]k about his dick than through it...that would be the making of a one hit rap wonder right there.

I've tried to use reason for so long and could never ever make anything good happen. There is something about the Redrum that just turns me off. The GUI is frustrating beyond imagination. I dont use premade textures/loops/pads or anything as a rule. I'm all about making the patterns myself so izotop...

Ahh, I knew we could get some meaningful discourse on the topic. Thanks for all the great ideas everyone! It seems like all the musicians are gradually migrating to facebook too (to keep in touch with their fans), so soon myspace will be completely redundant. I've noticed people becoming "fans" of b...
