FS:Whole Bunch of Stuff (Pedals, Preamps, Instruments, Mics)
Hey Guys, I need to throw the cash down to pick up a new stereo pre-amp. Here is some stuff that I have up for sale. Feel free to make an offer if you want... 2 Modded ART Tube MPs- These have the tubes replaced with Groove Tubes, and the ICs were changed. Kinda like the Black Lion mod, but not real...

Re: Wi-fi in a studio?
The frequency range of 802.11b or g is way off in GHz land, so the possibility of that creating audible or even calculative interference is a near impossibility. If this was the case though, studios would not own cordless phones and such.

It's a congregation of most places that sell music all over the world and on the internet. I know some people have had issues with people before, but I've bought vinyl from all over and have never had an issue.

Re: 9volt adapter wiring question
If you aren't certain, borrow a multimeter and check the wires with it plugged in. If you chose the wires at random, if the voltage is postive, you have the right poiarity of the leads. If negative, you need to reverse the leads.

WTB: Drewtronics Level Loc
I would be really psyched if someone here had one to sell since Drew isn't making the kits anymore. Preferably already built but I can work with whatever. Let me know your price or if theres any piece of smaller gear you want or something!
Thanks!
Aaron

Re: What Are You Working On Tomorrow 10-12-04
Finishing up Term-A in college, Finals in Assembly Programming tomorrow...and tomorrow night going to work and meticulously dissasembling the Studer A80 to find out why the takeup reel motor is acting fishy. I start work on an album Friday, with a band I've worked with 3 times in the past. That will...

Re: An open letter to gear manufacturers from an end user.
Joel, Thanks for this post, I cannot agree more than with what has already been said. As a college student, and engineering for 5 years now, I am beyond the entry gear and need good reliable gear that will be a mainstay in my rack, rather than serve its purpose for a few months and then end up on eb...

Sorry to hear that man. I was hoping you'd find a killer board to use. Anyways, best of luck in your quest to find a mixer!

Re: wheres a great place to buy?
Tapes.com. They have the best prices on Quantegy GP9 1/4" 10.5" reels anywhere I can find. $22.43 for a reel, rather than the standard $27-28 that you find anywhere else. The only bummer is that they have a minimum order requirement of $30, so whenever I buy tape I just throw in a pack of Taiyo Tude...
