I have those cables. I'm trying to avoid the 1/8' jack because it's a headphone (amplified) output. Going out the dock connector is line level, it's a better sound. Thanks for the links though.

I always use a sub now that i have one and I haven't had a problem mixing with it on. Dude at Massive Mastering has a good tutorial on how to calibrate your monitor setup, definitely worked in my case.

Of course, proper acoustics is crucial.

Did the switch stop working? My buddy has the V88 and it was intermittent. Simple contact cleaner worked. Instead of working the switch as normal, push the switch in and out, it cleaned up the pot. Make sense?
