No doubt, you are trying to get the landlord to fix things, but is there anything you can do outside the house to divert water away? if you can tear the place up, put a some perf tube in the ground just outside of the location where the water rivulet is forming. I had some issues with water. i used ...

This is a cool topic. I recorded a 3 piece last weekend and was planning to go this route. They wanted to use my 1 inch, so i had fun planning out how to attack this. i particularly wanted to do the drums with one mic...but when push came to shove the band announced they were gonna double all the vo...

This is something I have always wanted to try. But with a giant vintage marching band BD!

Yes, regular old "tin foil" works. Our drummer built a ribbon mic with parts " scientifically chosen to be the cheapest". He used some foil and corrugated it with a couple of gears. We were recording a garage tune and employed this mic for the guitar. Low output and dark but, damnit, it works. He ha...

I would learn how to reposition the sound post yourself. I have witnessed these fall out a few times at Rockabilly shows. It is nice to be able to get her back up and running at the scene of the crime! Of course, if you aren't slapping the hell out of the bass the post may not fall out again...

I get that sound if I am using inputs through that lightpipe, but not using the external clock. If I forget to turn on the external clock before firing up PT, the computer reverts to the internal clock.

I didn't have much of an opinion of them. I've never intentionally put on their music. But, now I absolutely HATE them because you guys keep referring to them as "The Dan". Holy shit is that annoying. It's like when the hippy next door kicks his hackey sac over my fence and when he comes to get it ...
