Wow, really nice work!

How are you connecting the two boards to each other?

If any of you Ramsa-less people are looking to join this club, I'll be selling my WR-S4416 soon. Not because I don't love it -- I do -- but because I am going to an all-rackable setup.

I will definitely miss this mixer, but I can't justify owning more than one.

Not to worry! All I lost was a few fuses, but I learned a lot in the process of fixing this thing.

Hello. Just wanted to revive this thread for an update. I made the cable as Beauty&Wonder described, and it blew most of the fuses in my power supply. I got a little scared that I fried the thing and took it to Mr. Honkyjonk of TOMB fame (hi, Jon!) and he helped me figure out that the DIN connector ...

As photo forums go, most are geared toward a specific type of photography, a certain type of gear or a certain skill set. Photo communities are very divided by discipline -- there's not much interaction between, say, photojournalists and commercial photogs. On most message boards, photo hobbyists ar...

I gotta say that I was totally surprised at how much I love the new Feist album. The songwriting and performances are amazing on most every song, and the recording is great. I've been listening to almost exclusively for two weeks now, especially the songs "I feel it all" and "Past in present." Yay F...

Thanks for the info, guys. So do you think I'd be safe getting the mixer, checking out the connections and buying the parts to wire up my own power cable? Any ballpark guess of how much that'll cost me?

Hill Multimix power cable question

So I bought a Hill Multimix on eBay and I just heard from the guy that he can't find the connecting cable between the power supply and the board. He reports: "The cable is a 5 pin DIN cable not your standard DIN cable." Anybody know where I might find such a cable? I'm now faced with getting a refun...

In my real life, I'm a professional photographer. I read a couple photo-related forums because it's kinda important to my career, but I generally find them to be petty and judgmental and dogmatic and, frankly, stupid. I can say none of those things about the TOMB, which I read voraciously not just b...

Old Master Painter/You Are My Sunshine: This is from the Brian Wilson release of "Smile." I can't remember all the details of recording it, so hopefully Andrew can jump in here, too. Drums were recorded with one TapeOp omni about 10 feet away, into an EH 12ay7 and through an Alesis Microlimiter to a...

I've got one of these: http://www.smproaudio.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=25 and I love it. Continuously variable pot, but I can get very low volumes out of my speakers with it. The company also makes two smaller passive controls, if you're not into a box with this many things on it. -s...

WTB: Patchbays

I need a couple 1/4" (front and rear) 48-point patchbays. I need 'em to work and be configurable, but I don't need them to look good.

Thanks!

We're about one third of the way done with our cover of Forever in Blue Jeans. It's sounding badass, but the downside to all this is that you have the same Neil Diamond song stuck in your heads for weeks.
