Custom snakes...worth the cost? HOSA and etc. = suck?

Hi, I have recently acquired a patchbay and some additional outboard gear and a Mackie 1604VLZ Pro. I'm trying to get them all connected. As you might expect I'm in the market for some cables. I saw here that REDCO was a good company to deal with so I'm considering have my cables made by them. Can a...

Hey b3groover, Are you the guy on the Michigan craigslist? Chubbuck? I figured since you said you weren't interested in shipping that I'd look around elsewhere and I found the TEAC a-3300sx possibly for $150 with a few reels and some unused tape. So no I wasn't asking necessarily about yours. I'll t...

These "look" nice. And the price is right. I might just have to pick up a pair myself. It'll be a couple weeks yet for me before I can. If anyone gets their hands on them before then I'd be curious to hear about it.

Hey johnmarkpainter, If I thought I could get my hands on these without the headache of investigating their origin et al, I would probably go this direction. But as it is right now all the info I can find on these is doing nothing more than making my head spin. First of all what's with the Chinese c...

At this point I'm leaning very heavily toward the D-6. I wonder though is there any difference besides the obvious between the black and the silver? The silver one is called the D-6 Sub Impulse Kick Microphone and the black one is just called the D-6. Am I missing something? Are these the same mic d...

Artifex,

I will let you know how they work out. It will be a couple of weeks from now. I have a few other things to buy this payday but next pay period is reserved for the Fatheads.

Hey thanks everybody...all this input is great. I'm teaching myself how to get good(natural) drums and truth be told all of the possibilities can be rather overwhelming at times. I appreciate you all taking your time and being so generous with your opinions. I neglected to mention that I actually do...

DRUM Mics...under $400...Shure PG 6 piece kit?

Hi, I have about $400 to spend on some mics specifically for drums. I just bought an SM91. I have a 57, a 58, an MXL 603 and an MXL 991. I'm also going to get a pair of Fatheads. But I still have $400 more to spend. I have been considering the Shure 6 piece PG kit. I'm wondering if anyone here has a...

Thanks Real MC. I'm definitely going to need a compressor that can handle drums, vox and acoustic guitar. I hear a lot more negative opinion on Alesis than positive for sure. I know this question has been asked and answered before but for someone with no hardware compressor that has $200 what would ...

Re:thoughts

Hey river, Thanks for the mod info. I'm seeing on this board that the DBX 166 is the way to go if you can only afford one budget compressor. How does the 3630 compare to the 166? I'm very curious about this Peavey EQ because new its a $400 item. That's more than I'm asking for the bass. I'd like to ...

Any thoughts on the Peavey Dual 31 Q231fx or the Alesis 3630

Hello,

I'm selling a MIM Fender Jazz Bass on craigslist and a guy is offering to trade me these two pieces + $150. I have looked around for info on these two units but haven't found anything to speak of. Anybody here have experience with these? Good or Bad.

Thanks

WTB: Shure C107 Replacement Cable for SM91

Hi, I'm trying to track down a Shure C 107 replacement cable for an SM91. I'm in Nashville and would like to find it local if possible. Online at the few places I can find it there is a 2-3 week delay in shipping. Uhg! I'll do it if I have to but obviously if I can get it sooner all the better. I'm ...
