i got this huge box of answering machine tapes on ebay (for $0.01+shipping)...each one is an endless 30sec loop...i'd really like to put them to use...

i'm looking for a cassette deck that allows sound-on-sound recording - preferably rack mount, and preferably with 1/4" inputs. speed control would be a nice feature, too. such a thing must exist - have any of you guys seen one??

i use itunes and apple lossless compression.

does anybody know where i might be able to find a REALLY OLD version of cubase? i have a mac se, equipped with a BLAZINGLY FAST 8mhz 68k processor and maxed out at 4mb ram, that i'd like to use as a sequencer.
