Thanks for all the input!
It will probably be a while before it's finished, but I'll get it online once it's done.

I've also been toying with the idea of a short article on the confusion of "phase" vs. "polarity" so I'd be interested in where you're heading with your paper there too. No, not to steal it, don't worry. I'm thinking more along the lines of a 1-pager in TapeOp or a similar magazine, and I can't tel...

For a paper I'm writing: What's your math background?
I'm writing a detailed paper about phase and how to predict/manipulate phase problems with audio. I'm trying to go into as much detail as I can, including the math behind *everything*. The problem is, I don't really know what kind of math backgrounds most people have, but I want to make it accessibl...

FA: My Tape Op magazine collection
Normally I don't post auctions here, but I thought someone might be interested in this. It's 41 different issues of Tape Op magazine that I've gathered over the years. The starting bid price is about what I've paid for all the back issues I've bought. Hopefully it'll save someone a lot of time/money...

The Echo Audiofire 12 sounds like a REALLY cool thing. How is the quality of the converters compaired to say MOTU or DIGI? I was told that it's the converters that make all the dif. in what unit I choose. ALso, I looked breifely and the Audiofire 12 says it has "near zero latency hardware monitorin...

I have a Sony VAIO laptop that I've used for years, and also an ADK laptop that I just purchased a couple weeks ago. The Audiofire12 I bought doesn't work reliably on either. All the problems seem to be driver-related. It's pretty annoying to have to turn off my monitors, restart the audiofire, rese...

I don't know if anybody else has noticed, but Cycling 74 offers what is basically Group Buy pricing right out in the open. If 5 or more people buy Max/Msp from them, the price drops $200 each! And it keeps dropping until you have over 100 buyers, at which time it's under $80. I'm just saying, is al...

I'd be up to contribute. I used PD for a year or two and then moved on to Max/MSP almost 2 years ago. I'm no expert or anything, but I can figure out a way to do *almost* anything I can think of as far as audio goes. I don't have so much experience with the midi side, but I can still figure out how ...
