anybody with an mx5050 1/2" 8 track in portland?

i've got this one tape that my machine doesn't like, it won't play it at normal speed. anybody have one of these decks i could try this tape out on? i'll even clean your deck afterwards.

i can see input on the mia console at the digital ins but there is no sound and cool edit doesn't see anything.

studio space in NE PDX that we're renting w/ or w/o engineer. 1/2" 8 otari, DA-78, a couple good pres, a space echo, and some good mics. big room with high-ish ceilings we've been getting a lot of compliments on. bring your PT, your tape machine or even just your four track cassette then track drums...

awesome, thanks folks. for the longest time, i was under the impression that when it was in the red, that it was clipping and i coulda SWORN that i heard dist. when i would do that, but i just tried the digital ins with "normal" leveled material and they were well up in the -3 range. shoulda tried a...

you know, the reeeeally old one, circa '94? i'm wondering what levels you hit it with through the analog ins. also, if you're still using it, what CDRs do you use?
