Ableton Live would be a great way to do this. Set up your "intro" in one scene, and the rest of the song in another. It will hang out on the intro for as long as you want, then you can switch it to the other music when you're ready.

If I wanted "Half a Twin" I'd go with a Fender Pro (1x15) or Pro Reverb (2x12). The Deluxe Reverb is a step down from that in terms of power.
