What kind of mic are you using? Try a different brand. Or a dif. polar pattern or a different style (condenser/dynamic/ribbon).

Try the eq notching as mentioned above. See If you can get the orginal tracks unmixed so you can do that yourself. That might help gel things together.

Thanks, but I didn't feel like it had been taken over. Of the gear that I have and the gear that I am selling this is one of the peices that I wish I could keep. Oh well, Christmas in summer is going to have to do.
