Re: my new album - "a panic in a pagoda"

I listened to Evil Seeds and Belgium...seems like you guys would be fun to see live! Cool sounds!

What are you using to get the vocal sounds, especially on Belgium?

Re: My new band "The Paper Sound"...

I went ahead and listened to "Raise A Glass." Pretty fun song. At first I didn't like the vocalist, but the music kept going to different places, so I was able to stay interested. And dang, the end sure does get overdriven. How did you go about doing that in terms of what the instruments were doing?...

Re: Guided By Voices--what's their deal, anyway???

Hey! I was in the front row of that GBV ACL taping. Did you see me? Oh yeah, how would you know? anyway...i think the drummer and the lead guitar player were the only two people that didn't touch a beer during the show. the crowd was just as drunk as bob was for sure. some girl in her mid-20's spill...

For an example of a recent recording that was actually mixed in mono, give Starflyer 59's "Leave Here a Stranger" album a listen.

I learned Flash in high school, but that was about 4 years ago so I've f...

Re: Tascam M520 Manual?

You can call Tascam, and they'll quote you on a manual. They will sell you one, but it would cost about $50.

And what is your quote in your signature from?

Re: Sorry...

Download the Huntingtons "Get Lost" album from 1999: 2 inch, 24 track ...then listen to one of their new tracks from like 2003 (there should be a clip on truepunk.com) their self-titled album which was done in ProTools. Same studio, same producer. Quite a different result. However, the two forms of ...

Re: Tascam M-512 - What is broken?

There are so many of them...there are a bunch in the pgm out and stereo master out section of the mixer too...could something be normalled/unnormalled over there that is ...

Re: Tascam M-512 - What is broken?

Yeah, it does have a ton of those little RCA connectors on each channel. Not sure how those work. It is labelled something like "Send" Access & Receive" or something like that.
