Jeff, 828 is for sale in bst. I've really dug the 828, but its time for something new.
I'm pretty much sold on the saffire, either the pro 40 or the 56. My one concern is daisy chaining my liquid mix 16. Works fine w the 828,. Wondering about the saffire?

Moving to a new house (I hope), so I'm gonna sell some stuff. All in great working order, as of last use. Presonus Eureka: $300 Stock. A couple years old. I really like it. Art Pro VLA: $125 SOLD I upgraded the tubes on this, but can't remember to what. You can change them to whatever you like cheap...

do you have a lot of outboard pres of mediocre quality? do you record more than 2 channels at a time? i think getting something like a focusrite pro40 and selling your motu and selling all but your best pre might be an interesting choice. would smooth your workflow. you would get the marginal diffe...

having listened to a lot of shoot outs with converters, i think the differences are pretty minor. minor enough that for home studio people there is probably always something more important to buy. so maybe wait till your unit is no longer compatible or supported or stable? +1 There are many cheap t...

I have been super happy with my RME multifaces. It looks like a pretty much exact replacement; 8 analog ins/outs, 8 ADAT ins/outs, SPDF, word clock and Midi. The drivers rule so you can run super low latency but it's not USB of course, not sure how you are connecting to your computer laptop current...

Higher End replacement for 828MKII
OK, So I want to upgrade my system in the nearish future. I've had an 828MKII since they were released. The config is perfect for my set up. In every way. Accept the prosumer quality. Yes, I know BLA will mod it for me, but I'm not gonna lay $350 into an 8 year old box. So, my question is, what's ou...

New guitar
Well, I haven't been here in months (new job, Tom Petty tribute show that had me learning 17 Petty songs, new novel, new record), but I just had to stop in and share my glee. I bought myself a new Les Paul Studio. Never thought I'd buy a white guitar with gold hardware, but I sat in the store surrou...

Shame can't get 2 firewires on a sub ?2000 mac. Imagine Liquid mix and duende...or even sound and DSP on separate busses. I know there are work arounds...but sometimes I do wonder if Apple are really my friend. I use a LM16, 828MKII and 2 external HDs all on the same FW buss on my iMac. It's doable.

Re: Bandcamp Question
It's all pretty easy. I haven't really come across any deal-breaker limitations and they're adding new services all the time.Jitters wrote:How easy is it to modify your albums? Switching out songs for remixes, changing the running order, stuff like that... What limitations have you guys come across?

OK, so I wanted to post an update on these speakers after a few gigs with them. All I can say is my tone palate has become much more varied with these things. It used to be that turning the knobs on the guitar didn't do much at all for the tone, but now i find it's a must. And single coil vs. humbuc...
