I'm in the market for either of these single channel super clean pre's. I haven't heard either although I understand they are quite similar. Anyways, If you got it, I'm interested.

As stated before, to each their own. I just had to vent my distaste for that Feist album. It's most unconvincing delivery I've heard (singing or instrumentation) in a long while. I'm actually supposed to believe the lyrics with that crap? And the lyrics aren't half bad, either. The "hyper-irony" is...

i have not heard the feist record, only the single. but how are you calling it "hyper-ironic"? If anything it's not ironic at all. Some of belle&sebastian's older songs could be "ironic" twee. but feist's songs do not have that melancholy lyrical content. Feist seems to be trying to capture fun/whim...

what does it take to change out the xfmr in a fat head? I'd be willing to participate in the group buy if it wasn't so difficult.

i think he did almost everything on two sp 303s--effects, tracking. just goes to show you how good songwriting makes cheap gear sound good.
