i got some great drum sounds with 2 SM57's thru and a cheesy paia stereo tube pre-amp. I slammed the tube drive and it got a nice dirty (soft buletin sounding) drums. I placed the mics under the cymbols, waist height about 2-3 feet out from the kit, pointing the mics at the beater of the kick drum. ...

dont some scopes have a frequency generator and or some sort of frequency analizer in them? Where can i get a sort of good frequency analiazer at? and possibly not one thats on a computer screen???
