I have the RC-20 and think it's pretty good Check out albums by Ken Rubenstein...back in the day he was on the cover of Guitar Player and they reviewed his albums and compared him to Hendrix in terms of vision and talent...the guy is a major genius. There are a lot of loopers at my site as well...ch...

You'll get a lot of different opinions. I'd suggest:

RME soundcard
Steinberg Cubase SX or Nuendo

RME and Steinberg stuff tends to work very well together.
