i love the D112... but it never cut the mustard by itself. I found having the resonant head off of the kick drum gave it more thud, but sounded less like an actual bass drum. a lot of it is drum tuning too.. a lot of drummers don't think about tuning the resonant head on the kick--a shame! if a hole...

have a pair of m-audio monitors for reference monitors, but the manuals don't explain how to test your setup to see if the speakers are placed/balanced right. with the monitors on the same setting and volume levels, I swear I can hear one is louder than the other. any recommendations? are reference ...
