Re: Live mic for acoustic performer

when i play guitar at church i use an oktava mk319 to mic my acoustic guitar.

He wants to use the same mic for singing and playing at the same time right? The mk319 was on sale for like 2 fer $100 at guitar center, dont know if it is still on sale. Some people like this mic, some dont.

Re: What do you charge high school kids?

the studio i intern at charges $50 an hour. There is not usually a price change for highschool bands or anyhting. and we do get teenagers in, though it is mostly in the summer. A group of teens can come up with money doing shit jobs and stuff.

Another DIY post

Hey my dad was telling me about a DIY Ribbon mic by dave royer that might of been somewhere on the tapeop site or on an old issue. Do you guys know of any site with a schematic or anything like that for a DIY ribbon mic? I think it would be awesome to try out.

Thanks in advance

Home Recording Mag has some ok stuff. I really like the articles by Arty Skye at the end. Some good stuff, and funny stuff.

HR and Tapeop are the only magazines I read.

Re: Records or stuff you did in 2003(an appraisal)

I got an internship which was pretty cool and got to help out and record a couple of rap groups. A good step i think to a career in recording though i don't really like rap.
