im probably going to be recording some drum tracks, and im going to be doing this on the drumset at my church, so im going to have an omni like 20 feet from the set i think and im gonna compress it to hell. Like said above, thats prolly the sound ur looking for,

i hope yall had a great time and i hope the traffic wasnt to bad. I was going to go to this thing but had class today from 6-9 at columbia. The class was canceled because of the fire on wabash and i didnt have any money or anything to go to this thing.

im working on a solo album now, when i use live drums, ill record the basic tracks and then record drums. Then do any over dubs needed after that.

Im going to try next song to record a couple scratch tracks and drums, then record the main guitar work and bass stuff.

i dont know what it is about cats, but they tend to see things. My bros GF's cats stare at the ceiling and crap every once and a while. Its pretty wierd, they freak out and start mewing and try to get as close as they can to that spot.

i put a pair of headphones around my acoustic guitar once. Didnt really use it for anything. But a cool think and something that people do is to use a speaker as a kick drum mic. It reproduces the low end mostly. Its good when used with another mic imho. Ive done it a couple times. experimenting is ...

I dont think it really matters, if it makes the client happy do it his way. For me, if im doing stereo drums i usually have it from the drummers perspective. but sometimes i do it from the audiences. I guess it really varies.
