One thing you can do to clean the sinuses is "sip" warm salted water with a nostril (until you feel it in your throat), then plug your nose, tilt your head back and swish it around. Then spit the water out and blow your nose. You'll hear it. Do it with both nostrils if you can. It feels very weird....

Maybe you could get a simple audio program to tweak fades and such?
