I have a little red kit with 100 different hex screwdriver bits that I got at a hardware store for like, $10. It even comes with security bits so I can completely dismantle a mens room if I feel like it. I recommend finding one of those you'll have every bit under the sun and no mystery screw will b...

outputs will float up without a load.

if you don't trust it, you can put a 10k resistor to ground and then test voltages.

don't worry! I have let things sit for longer than that, and they were fine when I finally got to them.

nice. Thanks for the tip!

I have the power cables in a metal pipe against the back of the rail.

I have dusted it out, but its been a few years since the last big vacuum. I usually hit the reeds with a soft paintbrush too, holding the vacuum right up against it as I dust.

But also power transformers don't usually just blow like a light bulb when they've been on too long. Usually there has to be a short or other problem to get them to go out. It could be that the amp developed a problem and made the original transformer die, but the new transformer is just tougher. t...

could be as simple as a programming issue - maybe you do not have the oscillators set to track from the keyboard? Disabling this is a common feature of old analogs - its helpful to turn tracking off if you are creating drums or noise from the synth.

the nice thing about deoxit is that you can keep it on a shelf for years. I have only bought a bottle once - and it was almost ten years ago, and it still works just the same. I imagine I will have it forever. This means you dont have enough knobs! Now go out and buy the oldest piece of equip...

what did you test it with?

many of the leslie speakers are pinned out differently - and there are many preamp pedals for many purposes to interface different organ pinouts and signal types.

we need more info!

make sure the violet wire was not removed - although that would get rid of all signal, but maybe you are just hearing something bleed.

TL is all but gone. My pictures are terrible - and I apologize for that. Here is what those snakes are: One is 8 Channels of XLR - and both ends are terminated. I bought it off ebay a few years back - its nothing special, but the small box sure comes in handy if you are doing live stuff. 50' There i...
